There are a ton of new and exciting goodies now available in Kristala's Early Access release! In addition to ongoing fixes and polishes for existing content based on player feedback, we've got some really epic new implementations you can now experience on Steam.
Dynamic Difficulty System
You asked for it—and we’re delivering! This new system is tailored for players who aren’t super familiar with action games (or those who just want to focus on Kristala's Story. It works by dynamically scaling the difficulty of the game to match your level of skill and performance.
Start a New Game to access this mode—or adjust your difficulty level in the game’s settings.
Greatsword Weapon, 2 New Classes & Weapon Upgrading
Two-handed weapon lovers rejoice! Now you can use a Greatsword during combat in Kristala by selecting one of the two new classes available in the Character Creation menu.
Warrior: heavy armor and greatsword. Focuses on brute strength!
Shaman: light armor and greatsword. Focuses on magic but also packs a punch.
Capital City of Nisar
Each clan in Kristala has headquarters in a bustling Capital City where the Sacred Six are housed and protected. These cities serve primarily as quest-giving hubs where you can meet and interact with NPCs, upgrade weapons, train for combat, and more. Explore the Nisarga clan's capital city of Nisar and visit Brutus the Blacksmith to now upgrade your weapons in game.
Third Boss Fight & Guardian Arena
Time to really test your mastery of the Nisarga clan's powerful and ancient nature-based eminence magic. Take on Elder Samwise, Shard of Ursul in the first Shard Guardian boss fight of the game! Enter a portal to the new Guardian Realm by communing with the Nisargan Sacred Kristal in Nisar.
More NPCs & Questlines in Dalamase

Bug Fixes
Menu Systems:
Bugs related to binding new controls are now fixed.
Bugs that caused Menus to "freeze" are now fixed. Spells:
The Roar spell's perk no longer plays its related sound before the spell is actually cast (it was previously spawning alongside the spell itself being cast).
The Invigorate spell's perk now also works as it should, healing an instant amount of Health before continuously healing the caster. NPCs:
NPCs that don't have an active dialogue cannot be interacted with and now use the correct idle animation(s).
Some dialogues were automatically progressing after a few seconds, resulting in some voice lines being cut short. They are now correctly timed.
Distance dialogues now won’t play twice if you move back and forth without completing them.
Single-distance dialogues won't play again if you reload the map (either by dying or by loading a game).
NPCs will no longer spawn appearing to float or seem as if they're buried in the ground.
Enemies now no longer fail to rotate towards you during combat. Miscellaneous:
All boss music now correctly stops after you die.
An issue causing characters (both the player and the enemies) to fall through the terrain has now been fixed in the vast majority of cases.

The following is a list of known bugs and issues we're actively working on addressing in Kristala Version 0.1.2.0. Updates on these issues will be detailed in future patch notes.

Some dialogues automatically progress after a few seconds, resulting in some voice lines being cut short.
After receiving a takedown, enemies will not take damage and will temporarily behave abnormally.

The character jumps when closing a tutorial.
We appreciate all the continued feedback and bug reports you've been submitting and welcome additional reporting and quality-of-life suggestions as we continue to refine and optimize the game and now that these new updates have been implemented, Episode 1 of the release is now officially 95% complete—with a fourth and final optional Spider Queen boss fight coming in the future to round out the entirety of Episode 1.
There's still so much more to come as we progress towards launching Episode 2 of the game this Fall, so stay tuned. You can also expect a TON of new gameplay content comin' your way in the next few weeks as we properly showcase all the new features that were just released. Cheers!
